Feb 2010 Company owners, Karl and Mandy, are pleased to announce they have now passed the Taxi/Chauffeur Industries recognised qualification, ‘Level 2 NVQ Road Passenger Vehicle Driving’.
Along with an ‘on the road’ driving assessment, this involved studying modules in, ‘Ensuring Health and Safety’, ‘Providing Professional Customer Service’, ‘Dealing with Emergencies’ and ‘Transporting Children and Young people’, amongst others.
We both found the course very worthwhile, and hope the time taken to pass the exam will further enhance our company reputation in the field of Customer Service and Safety, as well as ensuring potential new customers of our Professional Driving Standards.
Company Owner Mandy, and daughter Hannah, have now completed a course provided by Devon County Council to enable them to be ‘School Escorts’. As a DCC Contractor we provide school transport via our taxis to Education Services for children in rural areas, and also to Special Education Services, which covers School Transport for children with Special Needs. As well as a driver, we can now provide our own ‘School Escort’ to sit in the back with the children and ensure their comfort and safety, if the council dictates the child requires an escort. The course involved studying various aspects of transporting children, and included a basic First Aid course. We are now delighted to welcome our daughter Hannah to the family business as a ‘School Escort’, and continuing our 15 year relationship with Devon County Council Transport department. As well, of course, as meeting new friends on our school runs!
